The Christian Dior Fall Couture Line Refashions Traditional Looks
Malika Renee Butss — July 8, 2015 — Fashion
The Dior brand may be a French fashion house but the Christian Dior Fall '15 Couture Collection reflects the styles of 18th century Britain.
Fusing modern day aesthetics with traditional Edwardian tailoring, this Christian Dior Fall Couture Collection is the best of both worlds. This collection features three-quarter pannier-skirted ball gowns juxtaposed with sporty tops crafted out of embroidered silk. Staying true to the lush appeal of couture, mink, cashmere and chinchilla coats are put in competition with top coats in decorative embroidery and pastels.
On the more wearable and modern side of the collection, such pieces as a gray jumpsuit with zipper detail and minute motifs are cinched with a metal belt bearing lacquered discs.
