The Diana Watches Combine Ancient Symbols With New Technology
Michael Hines — May 15, 2011 — Eco
The Diana Watch is a new concept watch from designer Tommaso Ceschi that marries ancient symbols with new technology. The Diana Watch has a face that is modeled after a sundial's and its band is filled with miniature solar cells.
I will be the first to admit that the Diana Watch looks really, really tough to tell time on. Unless you have a working knowledge of Greek math symbols and Roman numerals, don't even begin to try and read this watch's face.
Despite the watch's face being a little complicated, its awesome solar-powered battery isn't. This watch can theoretically never run out of power. Provided you live in a sunny climate, you could theoretically have a watch that never runs out of battery and is always on.
