BrightDrop has announced it added DHL Express Canada to its customer portfolio as part of its first foray into the international market when it comes to electric deliver vans. The expansion will see BrightDrop, the electric deliver van subsidiary of General Motors, producing Zevo 600 deliver vans at the GM CAMI Assembly plant in Ontario. This will see the facility producing around 50,000 vans on an annual basis by 2025 with more than 25,000 Zevo 600s earmarked for customers including DHL.
BrightDrop President and CEO Travis Katz commented on the launch saying, "Bringing BrightDrop to Canada and starting production at CAMI is a major step to providing EVs at scale, while delivering real results to the world’s biggest brands. Our international expansion is proof that we can deliver exactly what our customers need where they need it. Having DHL Express Canada come onboard as a new customer shows the confidence legacy brands have in our ability to deliver.”
