The Deus Ex Machina Collection is comprised of a modular shelving unit, desk and light fixture that would add a sculptural touch to any home. Artistic qualities aside, the pieces are also quite minimalist, which also allows them to fit into just about any living space, traditional or modern.
Designed by London-based industrial designer Michael Young for EOQ, a new brand hailing from Hong Kong, the Deus Ex Machina Collection has a raw industrial beauty about it. The crowning feature of Bayer, the shelving unit, is its aluminium links that is at once strong and fragile. The lighting, dubbed Joseph, is also made out of aluminum that has been softened with CNC cutting while Orsted, the desk, features a deep dip for storage.
