Amy Duong — April 23, 2024 — Art & Design
Technogym's three-story flagship store location in Milan hosts its Design to Move Exhibition. For this space, Technogym tapped the help of 40 talented designers including Rolf Sachs, Nendo, and Patricia Urquiola to reimagine the brand's weight storage bench. The custom designs range from various design cues including padded seating and colorful decals as well as metallic and sleek accents.
Swedish designer Sachs takes the traditional weights and replaces them with ethereal accents such as a small statue of David. The special edition benches are available to shop after the exhibition is over. Some of the designs are being auctioned with the help of the auction house Sotheby'. Notably, all sales from the installation with be donated to UNICEF.
