Local design studio Martin Fenlon Architecture modifies the Denton House, which is a century-old home in California. The new renovations define the home with new visual updates including the green fiber-cement that seamlessly blends in with the trees.
This project expands the home, which was first built in the 1920s right in Los Angeles' historic Highland Park community. It is home to a designer and an artist who live with their three children -- one of which has just left for college. A main focus was to integrate the home with the site that it rests on in a spatial and visually conscious approach. The new volume rests under the main level in a smooth flow that blends the communal space with the backyard together.
