DEBATIN and PreZero Flexible Packaging GmbH are utilizing their longstanding partnership to design a new scheme focused even more on sustainable packaging solutions.
Leveraging PreZero’s expertise, the latest product innovation now incorporates 60% PCR material. Impressively, 50% of this PCR content is sourced directly from household recycling systems, including plastic packaging and mixed recyclables, reflecting both companies' commitment to advancing circular economy initiatives. Reclaiming materials that would otherwise end up in landfills allows the brand to repurpose them into functional, high-performance packaging schemes.
"Using our own sorting and recycling technology, we can produce PCR plastics for DEBATIN from household waste streams. This means that even this extremely difficult-to-process waste is finding its way into recycling, contributing to a more sustainable packaging world," said Frank Rieker, Managing Director of PreZero Polymers International GmbH.
