Facebook's updated data transfer tool allows users to post on several platforms at once. Users can now share their entire posts to different websites, including Google Docs, Blogger, and WordPress, with ease.
Unlike the network's prior sharing tool, this update allows users to share more than just the media attached to a post. The safety measures for this update remain the same; users will be asked to re-enter their account passwords and encrypt the content during the data transfer process. The utility can be found through 'Your Facebook Information' in settings.
The reasoning behind the new data transfer tool is, as Facebook states, to "help advance conversations" with the governments and developers about the concept of data portability.
