Xiaomi Reveals a New Humanoid Robot Dubbed 'CyberOne'
Xiaomi has revealed a new humanoid robot prototype dubbed the ‘CyberOne.’ The ‘CyberOne,’ also known as the ‘Metal Bro,’ is a robot designed to help understand “85 types of environmental sounds and 45 classifications of human emotion.” The robot utilizes two microphones, stands at 5.8 feet tall, weighs 115 pounds, and even has its own zodiac sign. By interacting with its surroundings using an OLED panel, the ‘CyberOne’ hosts 13 joints, 21 degrees of freedom, and actuator-powered arms.
‘CyberOne’ will not be produced for the mass market any time soon, but Xiaomi has plans to expand the robot's capabilities. Priced roughly between $89,100 and $104,000 USD, the ‘CyberOne’ “[is] an exploration of possibilities of Xiaomi’s future technological ecosystem and a new breakthrough for the company,” said Lei Jun, Xiaomi’s CEO.
