The Cutting Edge Chair is aptly named for a number of reasons. Chief among them is the literal meaning of the term 'cutting edge,' which can refer to the angled cut of the two back supporting legs. It can also pertain to the contemporary style of the design itself. Sharply minimalist and modern, the Cutting Edge Chair belongs in a home that is tastefully simple.
Designed by Jakkapun Charinratana of the Thailand-based Studio248, the Cutting Edge Chair marries manmade elements with natural ones. From the metal seat that recalls a laundry rack to the wooden base it rests on top of, the seat is elegantly masculine. It will be exhibited at the 2013 IMM Cologne show in Germany.
