Cowboy cakes are gaining in popularity. The 'Wild West' is really just an idea at this point, as anyone who's sat in bumper-to-bumper traffic in California knows. Yet cowboy cakes are appearing in urban settings.
This fond memory of the West has been making appearances on runways and in stores (think fringe). Celebrating occasions with cowboy cakes is just another sign that the desire for wide open spaces occasionally hits even the most devoted city dweller.
