Wanting to represent a strong sense of their roots in their home, this country-inspired apartment reflects the owners Bulgarian culture, history and tradition.
Designed by M2 Design Studio, this country-inspired apartment is located in an old reconstructed heritage building by the sea in Varna, Bulgaria.
Full of ingenious little details to embed the sense of the Bulgarian spirit, the design is dominated by a green and deep red palette and authentic wood-carved details to pay homage to culture symbols and motifs.
“Our main focus was to have handmade furniture, lamps, decorative objects, beams and natural materials that would create a cozy and warm feeling in the apartment. We designed many objects specifically for this project: the wall panels with circle motifs, the night lamps and the coffee table. The Lace wall panels and mirror were inspired from an old flower lace I found years ago from my grandmother," says the design team.
