COO Hostel was Designed with Millennial Guests in Mind
COO Hostel is a new business in Tiong Bahru, Singapore, that recently won the Visual Identity of the Year award at the AHEAD Asia 2017 awards. Looking at the hostel and bistro's unique design, it's no surprise that COO Hostel won an award for visual identity, as it has a clear aesthetic that resonates throughout the entirety of the building.
According to Colin Seah, the Singapore architect whose studio, Ministry of Design, conceived of COO's aesthetic, the goal was to appeal to Millennial consumers. Many Millennial travelers are on a budget while they journey. Unfortunately, budget hostels don't tend to be the most attractive from a design standpoint, but Seah managed to blend affordability and attractiveness into a single package with COO.
