This conceptual cable car system has been designed by BOSCH in partnership with the Art Lebedev Studio as an autonomous transportation solution that would provide a new kind of experience for urban commuters. The autonomous system would allow travelers to easily get around an urban area and wouldn't require dedicated stops by allowing passengers to easily be dropped off anywhere. The cars themselves would feature space for up to five passengers and offer panoramic views of the city during transport, while also providing connectivity thanks to onboard WiFi.
The conceptual cable car system is also focused on scalability and could be easily expanded in a cost-effective manner to accommodate city growth. This would come as a far less expensive option than conventional subways and stations.
