Matthias Pinkert conceived this “city car†where the lone passenger and driver stand in an upright position. The concept vehicle called The Slide is meant for the crowded, chaotic urban environments where parking spaces are priceless, albeit temporary, possessions.
Needless to say, it is also a vehicle for short trips and individuals without a partner and a brood.
Implications - It would certainly feel strange driving a car in a standing position! Matthias Pinkert decided that if one person was driving a vehicle with four seats in it, it is almost a waste if they are completely alone. Being in 'The Slide' will put you at eye-level with walking pedestrians and people on their bikes.

Trend Themes
1. Stand-and-drive Vehicles - The trend of stand-and-drive vehicles as a space-saving solution for crowded urban environments opens a new market for car manufacturers and start-ups.
2. Single-passenger Vehicles - As population density in cities increases, the demand for single-passenger vehicles will disrupt traditional car designs and present exciting opportunities for designers and manufacturers.
3. Micro-mobility - The rise of micro-mobility solutions, such as standing vehicles, could revolutionize the way people commute in cities and create new business opportunities for sustainable modes of transportation.
Industry Implications
1. Automotive - The automotive industry has the potential to innovate by designing and manufacturing stand-and-drive vehicles that cater to single passengers and fit the needs of crowded city environments.
2. Design - With the rise of standing vehicles, the design industry will have the chance to create innovative and ergonomic designs for the interiors and exteriors of micro-mobility vehicles.
3. Urban Transportation - Stand-and-drive vehicles could disrupt traditional urban transportation options and create new opportunities for sustainable and affordable modes of transportation within cities.
