Populus Designs the New Charlotte Hornets Facility

Global design firm Populus has introduced a look at the new Charlotte Hornets Facility located in Charlotte, North Carolina and it is defined by the metal panels and roof terrace. The project aims to start in early 2025 and the facility will be right next to the Spectrum Center, which is the team's home arena. The building is made up of bands of metal panels and glass which create horizontal lines that will be broken off by angled panels in a wedge shape.
The senior principal and global director of Populus, Jonathan Mallie speaks about the project, sharing "We're thrilled to partner with the Charlotte Hornets to design their state-of-the-art practice facility, elevating the organization and strengthening their position to become one of the premier teams in the NBA. The team's presence in Uptown Charlotte will serve as a beacon of player performance, designed to attract the league's greatest athletes."
