A former granary mill in Portugal was converted into a geometric vacation home called Casa Cabrita Moleiro. The holiday home was designed by Atelier Data. Instead of demolishing the existing building on the site, the Lisbon-based design and architectural studio integrate the space into the new five-bedroom home.
The integration of the former mill into the new holiday home creates a cluster of geometric spaces with an intriguing design. The designers created a contemporary and minimalist home with some rural character to pay homage to its granary mill roots. According to the studio, "the design has been inspired by the local vernacular." It features a flat rooftop for observing the sea and drying produce in the summer sun.
