The Bombed Mache By Ksubi

While most of us are thinking of elaborate retail design concept, Ksubi opted for a much simpler, cheaper and earth-friendly shop concept. The cardboard collectors of the Australian fashion label were downright serious when they decided to build The Bombed Mache.
"The Bombed Mache" is Ksubi's own rendition of a socially-conscious, earth-loving retail store. 80 percent was built from cut-and-paste, throw-away cardboard and some other reusable refuse. Imagine how much money they have saved from the construction costs!
Located in the middle of a suburban neighborhood in Melbourne, Ksubi's "The Bombed Mache" still offers the same superb shopping experience to its hip target market despite its shanty-looking appearance.
The creators of the cardboard shop bagged them the 2008 Interior Design Award by the Design Institute of Australia for their ingenuity.
