The cardboard Game Boy Color is the ultimate geek art project. This one-of-a-kind piece of recyclable art was built by deviantART member MaboroshiTIRA, an art major at the University of Delaware. The handheld gaming system isn't exactly fully functional, but its buttons and dials do work as you’d expect.
The cardboard Game Boy Color attains “epic” status for both its size and attention to detail. It’s one thing to build a cardboard Game Boy Color that fits in the palm of a person’s hand, but it’s a whole other ballgame when you attempt to build something that’s intensely detailed, functional (to a point) and taller than you are. MaboroshiTIRA claims to be “done” with cardboard for awhile. Here’s hoping she reconsiders and begins crafting more consoles out the recyclable paper product.
