The 'Wing Man' is a carbon fiber child seat created by Rory Craig, a student at the Art Center College of Design. It's a racing-inspired prototype made using Sparco harnesses; Craig is in the process of pitching the design to Sparco for production as an official Sparco product.
The 'Wing Man' carbon fiber child seat is designed to adapt to all three stages of a child's car seat needs. An adjustable--and removable--pivot point allows the car seat to be configured as a rear-facing infant seat, forward-facing toddler seat and a youth booster seat.
Since carbon fiber is noted in the automotive world for its lightweight and durable nature, and racing harnesses are developed to protect their wearer from automotive crashes, it's only natural that these two elements be combined for a child's car seat.
