It was revealed at CES 2020 that Cadillac collaborated with Amazon Vehicles, as well as AWS, and ZerLight to work on a cloud-based concept for car shopping. The new car shopping method places an emphasis on empowering consumers through customization.
The car shopping platform will show users different ads, depending on the user's individual characteristics. If a person selects an ad they will then be sent to the Amazon Vehicles page, which is powered by technology created by ZeroLight. Consumers will have the ability to personalize a virtual car using ZeroLight's technology. Following that consumers will have access to a custom video that depicts the Cadillac model they created.
Prospective customers will also have the ability to show a Cadillac dealership the car that they customized, and they will also have the ability to drive their customized vehicle through VR.
