This conceptual car key fob has been designed by Zander De Beer as an ergonomic take on the humble device that's intended to shake up perceptions of how the solution looks, feels and functions. The fob has a wing-like form that's accented by a series of four buttons for locking and unlocking the vehicle, starting or stopping the engine and activating the horn. The device puts a large dial on the top portion in the spotlight that can be twisted to change the temperature inside the vehicle, while a small display on the knob will allow drivers to see the temperature setting.
The conceptual car key fob modernizes a vehicle accessory that is quickly becoming obsolete in the face of smartphone control, but incorporates a tactile touch into the user experience.
