High street fashion chain Wallis is bringing together some of the top names in fashion, as well as a few celebrities, to create their 2007 charity charm necklace. Six unique charms were created by well-known designers (such as Christian Louboutin and Grayson Perry) and celebrities (such as Scarlett Johansson and Kate Moss). Contributors were asked to sketch their own charm, choose the material as well as give it a name. After the success of the 2005 celebrity charm bracelets for Cancer, Wallis decided to launch these silver rope charm necklaces, the proceeds of which go towards cancer research in the U.K.
The Cancer Research UK Charm Necklace will be retailing for £25 (of which £10 will go towards Cancer Research) and will be available at Wallis stores as well as online starting September 3rd. This charm necklace is a great way for people to show their support as well as raise money to research a disease that affects a lot of people. Note that only 25,000 necklaces are being produced, making this limited edition necklace a real signature piece.
