Founded in 1985 by Ioannis Chaidemenos and his wife, Anna, the Canaves Oia Boutique Hotel was one of the first hospitality ventures in Oia, transforming 17th-century wine storage caves into elegant hotel spaces. This pioneering spirit extended to the creation of four more properties, each with its unique charm and offerings, including renowned dining experiences at Petra, Elements, Omnia Restaurant, and Veranda Aperitivo.

Under the stewardship of Ioannis and Anna's sons, Markos and Alexandros Chaidemenos, Canaves Collection continues to honor the island's heritage while offering bespoke Greek hospitality.
