Obscura Gear is a product design company based in Ljubljana, Slovenia, that aims to create devices that benefit photographers -- with its attachable wooden clips working to reduce the heavy camera weight amateurs and professionals alike know too well.
The devices work by attaching to backpacks and bags so that the strap of camera can be wrapped around, taking the strain off of its wearers neck. Obscura Gear looked to create a product that not only offers a useful function, but looks good too. The company succeeds in this by crafting the clips with a Slovene wood and stainless steel and then forming it into a simplistic triangular shape. The design also makes the camera weight distributors easy to take off yet also secure when fastened to the wearer's backpack or bag.
