Qantas is incorporating a new cabin lighting system on its Project Sunrise ultra-long-haul flights. With this new feature, the brand claims to combat jetlag and enhance passenger comfort. For instance, the 'Awake' mode uses blue-enriched lighting to help passengers adjust to their destination’s time zone, while the 'Sunrise' mode simulates a sunrise.
In addition to these specialized lighting sequences, the Project Sunrise flights will include a Wellbeing Zone equipped with a lighting effect that creates a daytime sky simulation and soothing moonlight scenes. This area also provides amenities like guided exercises and refreshments.
