It's truly amazing to find an artist that takes a relatively common item - like chicken wire - and turns it into real art. These busts of Jagger, Einstein, Grace Jones, Dame Edna and Basquait were made by Ivan Lovatt. His ingenuity is striking. He prefers to work with natural materials, but found that wire gave him a broader palette.
Implications - Ivan Lovatt had been working with driftwood and timer for several years when he decided to take a different approach to his artworks. Changing up his style proves that he is a versatile artist who has incredible talent. He feels that although he loves working with wood, taking a different approach to art gives him a wider range of possibilities.
