The trench coat has become so ubiquitous in fashion, it’s earned its own Internet site. The Burberry ‘Art of the Trench’ website is a continuing celebration of the iconic trench coat created by Thomas Burberry so many years ago.
Offering a digital platform with social networking functionality, the Burberry ‘Art of the Trench’ site will exhibit photos of users’ personal ‘trench coat style,’ and allow visitors to comment and favorite the portraits. For the site’s launch, Burberry Creative Director Christopher Bailey commissioned photographs of trench coat wearers from photographer Scott Schuman of The Sartorialist.
