The Bunk Couch is Great for Small Spaces
Meghan Young — August 13, 2012 — Art & Design
As its name suggests, the Bunk Couch is inspired by a bunk bed. A spontaneous DIY project by the looks of it, the Bunk Couch is comprised of two existing sofas (that match, of course) and a wooden frame built to specific measures. It is a fun and crafty creation that benefits small spaces in particular. Nevertheless, the Bunk Couch can easily be implemented in large areas, if only for the novelty of the design.
Created by the fine folks over at the i3 Detroit hackerspace, the Bunk Couch has a masculine touch about it. While this is a one-of-a-kind design, it would not be surprising if a furniture manufacturer commissioned it with some tweaks, such as upper foot rests and cup holders.
