The Bulb Flashlight from designer Lin Guohui is one of those ingenious inventions that makes you wonder why it wasn't created earlier. This torch doubles as an LED light bulb and is perhaps the best flashlight to have in the event of an emergency. When not in used as a torch, the Bulb Flashlight can provide as a light bulb for up to 60,000 hours.
Should the power go out and you find yourself in need of a flashlight, this design works as a torch for up to three hours, no battery necessary. All you need to do is extend the handle and voila, you have an instant source of portable light that can go back to working as a light bulb once you're done with it. It's being sold by the New York Museum of Modern Art and is available now for $45.
