74-Year-Old Grandpa Brian Vann Builds Personal Batmobile
Souzan Michael — July 5, 2011 — Autos
When Brian Vann, 74, lost his wife, Mary, nine months ago, he set a personal goal to begin working on a vehicle so he could drive in a charity run to support cancer victims. He has spent weeks working on transforming his electric scooter, which he uses for health reasons, into his very own custom-made Batmobile.
His scooter, which runs at 8 mph, now resembles the legendary superhero vehicle. Brian Vann has even enlisted the help of his friend, Alan Holden, or “Robin,” who follows Vann around in his own motor scooter with a bumper sticker that reads “Make way for the Batmobile.”
What’s more impressive is that Brian Vann won’t stop at the Batmobile. He’s currently working on redesigning his scooter to look like a Thunderbird Spaceship.
Holy cool grandpa, Batman!
