These body movement drawings were created by a performing artist from New Orleans name Heather Hansen. This intimate series is titled ‘kinetic drawing,’ where she uses her entire body to create large scale drawings on paper. The use of her own body supplements a paintbrush so she can create symmetrical shapes and patterns with charcoal.
Her technique can be expressed as a live dance that is done by lying on the large scaled paper. This exhibit, tilted 'The Value of a Line,’ is performed at The Ochi Gallery in Idaho where she does each drawing live. The use of her body against the paper makes quite the impression of how one can actually create something beautiful and mesmerizing by simply moving around gracefully in peace.
