American-based farm and construction equipment manufacturer Bobcat Company has unveiled an all-electric powered loader vehicle called the Bobcat S7X. Doosan Bobcat vice president of global innovation Joel Honeyman spoke about the Bobcat S7X: "The S7X is an incredible product with real-world application that can support operators on environmentally sensitive sites, in noise-restricted areas, and for indoor operation."
The Bobcat S7X is powered by a 60.5-kWh lithium-ion battery with electric drive motors, which allows instant torque that is three times greater than the average loader vehicle. Regarding the technical capabilities, it can operate for up to eight hours on a single 10-hour charge with a near-silent and vibration-free experience. Additionally, the Bobcat S7X is made for performance and sustainability. In terms of performance, it is made to outperform diesel-powered loader vehicles. As for sustainability, it releases zero carbon emissions. The Bobcat S7X is still in its prototype phase and was showcased at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2023 event.
