At face-value, most insects do not appear to be too noteworthy but this beetle photography shows them in a different light.
Taken and enhanced by the French photographer Pascal Goet, the beetle photography features up-close images of these insects. The images are surprising, with many of the beetles having appearances similar to the face of humans. Each of these photos features an almost perfect symmetrical balance, vivid colors and shapes that are both geometric and organic. The photography takes away the "disgust" factor that many people associate with insects and changes the opinion of the viewer about these natural beings.
These mask-like symmetrical images are enhanced to show the unique beauty of aspects of the natural world that are not often deemed as attractive.
