Converse and Dr. Romanelli are joining forces to design shoes inspired by iconic American comic strip characters with the Beetle Bailey vs Popeye Collection.
The Beetle Bailey vs Popeye Collection offers exclusive footwear with based on the comic characters and the "classic Army versus Navy football game played each December," according to Freshness. Two different models have been created for either side; representing the Army Black Knights is Beetle Baily with a black and brown sneaker, while the Navy Midshipmen finds a representative from Popeye in a blue and white colorway. Both sneakers are Chuck Taylor All-Star models and features a comic strip design in the interior.
