Think about the most common pen brand and Bic will probably be the first thing that comes to mind; the Baux Pen hopes to change that by using Bic parts while updating its overall look and feel. Made out of custom machined aluminum, a change from Bic to Baux entails a graduation from a cheap to quality product.
Created by Dan Conti, a product designer based in Greenville, South Carolina, the Baux Pen is appropriately named after an aluminum ore. Available in two models, grooved or smooth, the Baux Pen comes in five different colors including natural aluminum or one of four anodized shades: red, black, blue and a darker grey. It can also be further customized for promotion purposes.
