If you ever needed an excuse to sleep with a gun under your pillow, the Bang! Lamp might just be what you're looking for -- just don't look for it to be protective in any way.
Japanese design company 'bitplay' designed the Bang! Lamp which operates a little differently from the average light. Instead of having turning it on and off with the flick of the switch, they've decided to use a gun instead. Point the shooter at the lamp, shoot and it'll turn on. To turn it off, do the same thing, only this time the head of the light will actually tilt sideways to make it look as if you really did mess it up. Who would've thought a shoot 'em up attitude would ever make it into furniture design?
