Bamboo + Scale is not today's traditional bathroom scale. First of all, it does away with technology all together. In a world that is becoming increasingly reliant on all things technological, it is intriguing to see designers avoid it at all cost. Designed by Lei Shi and Yujie Hong, Bamboo + Scale uses a single sheet of bamboo. The wood is folded onto itself to create a natural curve. This curve is maintained by notching to a slot in the front. This slot informs the weight. As a person stands on the scale, it pushes forward to indicate a number.
