The Balance Bookshelf Encourages You to Do More Reading
Michael Hines — October 9, 2013 — Art & Design
The Balance Bookshelf is a great way to encourage yourself to do some reading. It was created by Chris Cush of the Etsy store Cush Design Studio. The bookshelf has two separate platforms: one meant to hold your read books and the other one meant to hold your unread books. The idea is that your stack of read books should greatly outweigh your stack of unread books.
According to Cush, the Balance Bookshelf can hold between five to 10 "average-sized" books per shelf. While that's probably not enough space for your entire collection, it is a great way to make your to-read list more visible. The shelf has a minimalist look with its steel pipes, pine wood shelves and twine. Each Balance Bookshelf is handmade by Cush and sells for $240.
