Toledano & Chan introduces a look at the B/1 wristwatch which is made with elements of brutalism. The watch boasts a monochromatic design that references the roots of Brutalist architecture. The timepiece is made by Phil Toledano with partner Alfred Chan. The timepiece is defined by the stark and angled case structure which references the architecture from the designs of the 70s.
Specifically, it celebrates the Met Breuer building in New York City by Marcel Breuer. The building is completely of concrete and the watch -- reflects this with stainless steel. Other details include the asymmetric bezel and crystal which is along with the chiseled hour and minute hands which reflect the sharp angular shape of the building's windows.
