This Adidas Distribution Center in China is Powered By Robots

Apparel and footwear giant Adidas has collaborated with logistics and warehouse robotics company Geek+ to launch a brand new footwear and apparel warehouse and distribution center that is automated and powere by robots.
Situated in the city of Suzhou in China, this robot-powered apparel warehouse and distribution center takes up a space of 139,000 square meters and is more than capable of processing in excess of a million units a day whilst simultaneously storing over 10 million pieces, with Geek+ deploying its high-powered robots in order to carry out important procedures such as location-tracking and organization whilst also boosting safety of workers who interact with the facility and its robots.
Harm Ohlmeyer, global chief financial officer at Adidas, noted that this venture comes as Adidas looks to expand its supply chain operations and increase efficiency. "We envision these logistics advancements to provide valuable insights for Adidas' global expansion," Ohlmeyer stated. Meanwhile, Geek+ CEO Yong Zheng added that this facility is the latest in what is a "longstanding and robust collaborative foundation between Geek+ and Adidas.
