I would bet dollars to doughnuts that at least one future computer will be modeled after the Augmented Interface. The Augmented Interface is a conceptual computer designed by Gustavo Fricke that uses a built-in projector to create a touchable display.
The Augmented Interface comes in two pieces: a dock that also acts as the projector and keyboard, and a wireless component that could possibly be used as a mouse. The displayed image is fully touchable, letting users decide how to interact with their content. The Augmented Interface would greatly reduce the size of the modern computer. Today's laptops and desktops may not seem bulky to our eyes, but can they use a wall as a touchable monitor? I didn't think so.

Trend Themes
1. Projected-touch-screen-computers - The development of augmented interfaces can lead to a new generation of projected touch-screen computers that are smaller, more versatile, and more mobile.
2. Interactive-projected-displays - As augmented interfaces become more common, technology companies could create interactive projected displays that can be used for gaming, advertising, and immersive experiences.
3. Gesture-based-interfaces - The touchless technology used in augmented interfaces can lead to the development of gesture-based interfaces, where users can interact with devices through simple hand and body movements.
Industry Implications
1. Computer-hardware - The computer hardware industry could benefit from augmented interfaces by developing smaller and more portable devices with built-in projectors or touchable surfaces.
2. Gaming - The gaming industry can leverage augmented interfaces to create immersive, interactive gaming experiences that blur the line between virtual and physical worlds.
3. Advertising - The advertising industry can use interactive projected displays to create more engaging and memorable content that captures consumers’ attention and enhances brand awareness.
