The second-generation Audi RS Q e-tron E2 has been shown off as the latest edition of the vehicle that's ready to get to work in off-road motorsports. The vehicle maintains its fully electric form and is constructed with redesigned bodywork that makes use of composite materials. The bodywork is thus ultra-lightweight and aerodynamically optimized to reduce drag by roughly 15%, while also featuring a lower center of gravity to boot handling and overall stability.
The second-generation Audi RS Q e-tron E2 will be driven by three driver teams including Mattias Ekström and Emil Bergkvist, Stéphane Peterhansel and Edouard Boulanger, and Lucas Cruz and Carlos Sainz. The vehicle will make its debut at the 2022 Morocco Rally this October before heading to the 2023 Dakar Rally next year.
