Germany, of all places, is home to the Audi mobile basketball hoop. This unique invention was created for the professional German basketball team FC Bayern Munich. The setup is designed to attach to either the A4 sedan or Q3 SUV. Audi is a sponsor of the team, and it is loaning both the A4 sedan and Q3 SUV to the team this year.
The Audi mobile basketball hoop takes 30 minutes to set up, and three people must watch over the hoop once it’s up in order to ensure the safety of those spectating and playing. All components of the hoop can be stored inside of the A4 or Q3, save for the backboard, which can be stored on the roof. The Audi mobile basketball hoop was created to help make it easier for the team to do mobile PR stunts and to make community interaction more fun. The German automaker says there are no plans to do a commercial run of the hoop just yet.
