The World Cyber Games esports competition has joined forces with the Asian Electronic Sports Federation (AESF). A Memorandum of Understanding between the two parties states that they will cooperate to advance, promote, grow, and safeguard grassroots esports. As players and teams advance in their chosen games, WCG will use its platform and global reach to raise awareness of grassroots esports further. Additionally, the two businesses will collaborate on student projects and internships for students involved with the AESF University Partner program.
“WCG has been a positive influence in the global esports industry for the last 20 years. AESF has also contributed to building a high quality esports infrastructure. Therefore, WCG plans to expand the grassroots esports experience to global gamers through MOU with AESF and will continue various activities to raise the quality of lives of gamers,” said KwangJun Song, CEO of BigPicture Interactive.
