Jacob Everett creates these amazing black and white portraits using only a black ballpoint pen. While some of us may etch a few pictures of cats or stick figures when bored at work, these intricate images take doodling to a whole other level.
The Bradford-based artist etches images of well-known popular culture icons such as rappers Jay-Z and Tupac using a simple black Biro. Some of the faces depicted in the portraits are homeless people from the streets of the artist's home town. The weather beaten faces of these men are perfectly suited to the incredibly detailed, cross-hatched etchings. The artist's portraits seem to capture the essence of the people he has drawn.
Rarely do you see such character shining through in a painted portrait—these etched ballpoint masterpieces will certainly leave an impression on the viewer.
