The Area Lamp is a modern light fixture that is controlled by hand motions. As though the next step after touch and clapping activated lights, it almost looks as though the Area Lamp were being operated through magic. At least, that is a story parents can wow their children with.
Designed by Holy Trinity, a German studio founded by Matthias Pinkert, the Area Lamp takes on a sleek and simple form that would be perfect for any contemporary home or office. Although originally designed as a modular under-cabinet lamp, it is flexible enough to be used elsewhere as well. Outfitted with LEDs, the Area Lamp could pave the way for more motion-sensored designs in the home.
