I am deathly afraid of submarines, but am willing to take a risk and ride in the new AquaStar AS2. The AquaStar AS2 is a two-person undersea scooter that lets you safely and leisurely explore the ocean.
The AquaStar AS2 can dive up to 37 feet deep, hit speeds of up to 5 miles per hour and has a battery life quoted at two hours. The scooter has its own on-board oxygen, which itself lasts an hour and 10 minutes. I'll be the first to admit that the AquaStar AS2 looks a little silly from a design standpoint, but I doubt many people will stop to poke fun at this scooter's odd shape when they see it cruising past them underwater. Best of all, perhaps, is that no diving certification is required to pilot the AquaStar AS2, making it newbie-friendly. Looks like this submarine neophyte is about to get it wet.
