Anteprima's Spring Summer 2007 collection was a success with their opposites trend. Now their new line features mixed culture and strong colors. All of the designs feature strong visual contrasts. Maybe this is an evolution of the opposites trend but now with more influence from traditional art and modern fashion.
"Mixed Culture, the collection for Fall-Winter 2007-08 was presented at theMuseo Della Permanente, Milano .Creative Director Izumi Ogino utilized exquisite kimono and Obi fabrics and transformed them into highly fashionable items of minis and high-heels to present a strong visual contrast of past and present - the traditional art and modern fashion. To further play-up the contrariety, she mingled them with different knitwear for a more relaxed mood.It was also a collection of strong colors, textures and materials."
Implications - Incorporating bold colors and strong prints into fashion pieces gives consumers more options for self expression.
