Swedish studio Front delivers a line of adorable animal home decor for Vitra's 'Resting Animals' collection. The concept of the aesthetically pleasing projects explores the relationship "between humans and figurative object." Headed by founders Anna Lindgren and Sofia Lagerkvist, the project displays harmony-driven silhouettes that are made with wool and ceramics.
Vitra tasked Front with creating an accessible decor line that generated "conversations about bringing a sense of nature into the room." While the smaller pieces are ceramic and make for exceptional shelf embellishments, the biggest object in the animal home decor collection is a 3D-printed knit resting bear. The shape and size of the piece allow it to be used "as a stool, ottoman or backrest," granting the decor piece with not only modern aesthetic properties but functionality, as well.
